We can’t force running techniques on a body that doesn’t want to go in the places we want it to. The NRY reduces tightness and compensation patterns by releasing the areas that are commonly overworked in runners, and strengthening the areas that need to work more, then allowing the brain and body to incorporate this into movement patterns that result in better running technique.
As an Exercise Physiologist I have worked with a large range of athletes, from those strapping on a pair of runners for the first time, to world champions and record breakers. This system comprises everything that these people wish they had known, before travelling to visit me in my clinic, often suffering with years of plateaus and pain.
Using massage balls we first look to release areas of tightness at the muscle insertion, before following up with super targeted specialised stretching techniques
Range of Motion is only good if you can use it. After releasing tighter areas, we then activate opposing muscle groups so the body can use the new range of motion
Stretching and strengthening only improve running technique if your brain understands it. We use neural priming techniques to ensure our work actually makes lasting change, and improves our running.
